Ah, experimentation!

It reminds me of the time that I decided to try a durian smoothie. Hey, it was on the menu, and I didn't know what it was, so why not give it a shot?

"Oh, you no like," cautioned the server.

"How do I know? I've never tried it."

"I tell you, you no like."

"Well, I've eaten a lot of things I didn't think I'd like. Let me try it anyway. Then I'll know for sure."

So out came my "garlic-and-onion milkshake."

He was right. I no like. Pffeee-ew!

It's also like the time I saw the milk fish porride recipe in one of my Wei Chuan cookbooks. Seemed really simple to make and the H-Mart had fresh milk fish.

However, some things were just not meant to be served before humanity...

Fun blog! Will try to see if I can attend your Evening at Emory class, should it have seats remaining.
